Day 2 of Trip:
My first Blog entry and it is in LA!
Well, what a great start to the trip. We arrived here in Los Angeles, California yesterday at about 11am local time, after spending 13 hours on a plane from Sydney...what a killer!
After getting over the shock of being on the other side of the world, Brett and I made our way through customs and immigration, which were each surprisingly and scarely easy to get through! We made our way to the SuperShuttle Buses and were dropped at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). We dumped our bags and walked up to Beverly Hills and found the Avenue of the Stars...nothing very exciting!
After dinner, we went straight to bed, and fell asleep almost immediately...not surprising considering that we hadnt slept for 32 hours!
Today we visited Santa Monica and Venice Beaches...typically American with RollerBladers and Runners everywhere. Venice Beach was a weird experience, with the bums spread out across the length of the Ocean View walkway!
During the afternoon, we made a trip up to Hollywood and did the Walk of Fame etc. However, I didnt seem to be quite as blown away by everything as I feel I should have been! Infact, one of the most interesting things that we saw while in Hollywood was a guy being arrested for shoplifting and also a Police Sting Operation, which doesnt say much for Hollywood Blvd but it was still an enjoyable trip! But by 3 o'clock the jet lag kicked in and decided to come home!
Well, thats all for now...
